Recommended Gear

Items we recommend you bring:

Waders- lightweight breathable waders

Raingear- It will rain at some point during your stay rain gear will be useful

Waterproof boots

Camera
- Digital camera with a waterproof bag

Insect Repellent- Deet works better than anything else.  Citronella doesn’t work at all, leave it
at home.  

Fishing gear- Freshwater fishing gear is not provided but we do have a few spinning rods
available for use.  

Fishing rod- Medium to medium heavy spinning or casting rod

Reels- 200 series casting reels or 2000/2500 series spinning         reels loaded with at least 12
pound or heavier line with 12 pound leader.

Fly fishing- For Salmon and Steelhead you will need a 7-8 weight fly rod with matching weight
forward fly line.  A tapered leader to a 12 pound tippet.  These fish are not leader shy.

Fly fishing- For Cutthroat Trout and Dolly Varden you will need a 4-5 weight rod with
matching weight forward line.  A tapered leader to 5 or 6 pound tippet.  You never know when
you will hook a Steelhead or Salmon while fishing for trout.

Maps of the island can be purchased once you arrive.


If you are hunting we recommend you bring the following:

Binoculars
Camouflage Clothing
Waterproof boots
- Some of our guests bring knee high or hip waders as well.  
Scent free Soap
Weapon of choice:
Rifle
Bow
Ammunition/Arrows
For getting your animal out of the woods:
Packs (some packs will be available)
Knife
Etc.
