Hunting
Prince of Wales Island offers world class hunting for Trophy Black Bear and Sitka Blacktail Deer. Both spring
and fall bear and deer hunts are available. All hunting is self guided. Prince of Wales Island is the third largest
island in the US territories, behind Hawaii and Kodiak Island. There's plenty of ground to cover with over 1500
miles of road, 2,600 square miles of forest, and 1000 miles of shoreline on the island for you to explore.
All tags are over the counter. You will see deer and bear while you drive around the island but the bigger animals
will be harvested by the hunters who get out and work the grass flats and clear cuts.
